ANTIGUA

ATG01 – ANTIGUA HIGHLIGHTS (half day)

This island tour takes you to the heart of Antigua’s impressive National Park. The tour begins with a drive through a countryside of tropical beauty and rolling hills, passing through quaint villages on the way to an area rich in history. Your first stop is at Nelson’s Dockyard where you will enjoy a guided tour of the only working Georgian dockyard in the world and now a major Caribbean yachting centre. The ambiance is wonderful, the buildings are beautifully restored and your guide will fascinate you with the highlights and history of the 18th century naval station. It’s then on to a stop at the Blockhouse ruins, which offers a commanding view of the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding coastline. Continue on to the ruins of Shirley Heights, sitting high above the historical National Park area. Enjoy breathtaking views of Nelson’s Dockyard, English Harbour and its surroundings. ATG09 – ANTIGUA ULTIMATE ADVENTURE

Your air-conditioned bus will take you on a 30 minutes or so drive through Antigua’s countryside to the beautiful rainforest area, Fig Tree Drive in Wallings. Explore the Antigua Rainforest by Canopy Tour; 12 wonderfully exciting zip lines and suspension bridges; then you will hike through the rainforest, through tall lemon grass and the under growth to Carlisle Bay. You will be sailed out to sea and served a delicious Caribbean lunch all prepared by some of the best Caribbean chefs.
You will be taken to Cades Reef, a must for snorkelers in Antigua where the under water world unfolds in front of your eyes. There will be an experienced snorkel instructor in the water with you to guide and assist you. The experience is one you will never forget!

ATG11 – ANTIGUA CANOPY TOUR

The Antigua Canopy Tour is a unique eco-tour through Antigua’s lush rainforest, where you embark on an unforgettable journey through the verdant forest, high above the trees. The tour offers uncompromised safety installed on a complete double wire throughout with a Double Redundant system. Your state of the art harness and safety helmet are from the world’s leaders in challenge course equipment.

Your tour starts at the architectural pleasing Old Pump House with a walk over a suspension bridge from the side of the building, which spans the gorge to the far bank.
Once across the bridge, there is a 9 zip lines journey through the forest begins as you trail to the start aerial zips, criss-crossing the gorge. There are zip lines of 52 feet to 328 feet in length. The geography of the gorge dictates that you are above the treetops for large parts of the run – exiting and entering a corridor in the foliage at either end. In total there are a series of 9 zip lines, 1 vertical descent, 1 tree house and 2 suspension bridges giving you a wonderful opportunity to have a bird’s eye view of the flora and fauna in the rainforest whilst listening to the numerous bird species.

You will have some short trails into the gorge and then a series of connecting zip lines and bridges, which criss-cross the gorge at tree canopy level. The gorge is full of interesting plants and fruits and has a definite “tropical” feel to it especially when you take a break in our tree house, hidden from the rest of the world!

ATG12 – BOTTOM FISHING AND COASTAL CRUISE

A unique tour for families and adventure lovers of bottom fishing, coastal cruising and snorkelling is now available in Antigua. You will be met at the ship by your tour guide and escorted a few yards to your awaiting 36 feet Twin Vee Power Catamaran HS Mac. From here you will be powered on an exhilarating enjoyable boat ride to Paradise Reef just off the north-west coast, one of Antigua’s best locations for fishing and snorkelling. En route you will hug the coast line and see Fort James, Runaway Bay, Dickenson Bay, Prickly Pear Island, many secluded beaches, 5* hotels and exclusive homes. Time will seem to stand still as the captain will drop anchor or drift and you will be given your high tech fishing rod, reel and bait.

If you really want to get closer to the fish then put on your mask and fins and go snorkelling in the crystal clear waters! Or you can simply take a swim or relax and soak up the sun in the idyllic location on board the boat.There is an open bar where you can enjoy rum punch, beers, water and soft drinks. This is an opportunity to enjoy the Caribbean as it used to be; peaceful and tranquil yet available for as much fun as you want to make. ATG13 – HORSEBACK BEACH EXPERIENCE

After a short drive you will reach the horse site and you will be given the safety briefing, issued with the compulsory riding helmets and assigned to a horse comparable to each person’s comfort and level of experience. Be ready to enjoy the island of Antigua and all its beauty. Free time to relax and swim. Children under 12 years are not permitted on this tour and there is also a weight limit of 250 lbs. All participants will be required to sign a release form. There are inherent risks involved in horseback riding and participants should be aware of this before deciding to participate.

ATG16 – EXPLORE ANTIGUA’S PEARL OF THE SOUTH

Antigua’s lush Christian Valley is nicknamed the island’s “Pearl of the South” and is a 40 acre orchard of Antigua’s premiere collection of fruit tree varieties and plants, hidden away in the verdant, forested folds of the Shekerly hills. The tour begins with a 30 min drive to the beautiful area and upon arrival, guides will meet you and will take you on a 1 ½ hour walking tour of the lush valley where you will learn of the history and many uses of the various plants and fruit trees. As you walk along the trails, your guide will provide you with interesting facts on the topography of the area and you will see breathtaking views and hear the beautiful sounds of the many bird species that live in the area. Before heading back to the ship, you will sample some of the fruits in season such as guava, sugar apple, golden apple, citrus varieties, avocado, mango, cashew and enjoy fresh fruit juice made from the fruits found.

Experience paradise as you enjoy snorkelling on a Robinson Crusoe island off of the Antigua’s north coast. Prickly Pear island hideaway is one of Antigua’s best kept secrets and Terrence and his team from Miguel’s Holiday Adventure will take you snorkelling through coral reefs on a mesmerizing underwater tour. NASSAU (BAHAMAS)

NAS01 - PANORAMIC TOUR

Drive through Nassau to reach Fort Fincastle, set atop the highest point of the island, from where you will enjoy a beautiful view of the harbour. Continue with a panoramic view around the island of New Providence. Stop at Queen’s Staircase. Then it’s off to Atlantis Paradise Island for a short stop. The drive continues from Paradise Island through the colourful residential area before returning to the port.

NAS02 - DISCOVER ATLANTIS

Board a boat and enjoy a narrated cruise through the Harbour. Then walk to the Atlantis Resort and participate to the narrated tour of the Atlantis and the Aquarium. Free time at your disposal to explore the Resort on your own. Board the boat to cruise back to the port.

NAS03 - SNORKELING ADVENTURE

After leaving the pier, board the snorkelling boat and start cruising through Nassau harbour to reach the “Athol Island” Park. After a short safety briefing, you will have approx. one hour to snorkel at a live coral reef, followed by experienced local instructors. Return to the ship.

Ready for a safari adventure? After a transfer by boat to the mainland of Samanà board a specially equipped 8-16-person capacity vehicle and spend an unforgettable half day. Admire various plantations where you will have the chance to taste local agricultural products, such as native fruits, coconuts, coffee, and chocolate. Then, off to Playa El Valle for a swim or just lie back and soak up the sun.

SAM05 - SALTO DEL LIMON

Love the mountains? Then come explore the interior of the Samaná Peninsula where the mountain range reaches an altitude of almost 700 meters (or 2100 ft!) You will arrive at a ranch where your horse awaits to take you up a mountain where flora and fauna abound. After about a 30 min. ride, you will discover El Limon Waterfall, the largest of its kind in the peninsula. (Aprox. 35 meters or 120 ft.) Have a swim or just sit back and enjoy the scenery until it’s time to head back.
Note: Long pants with appropriate shoes are recommended. Don’t forget your bathing suit and bottle of water. Participants must wear a helmet and rubber boots, provided on site. This excursion is not recommended for passengers with back problems or pregnant women. The horseback riding and the walking tour are carried out on very slippery and uneven terrain. We suggest you bring a change of cloths (socks, underwear and pants) with you. As you will encounter water on this tour, bring your camera at your own risk.

SAM07 – CAVES AND MANGROVES ADVENTURE

Calling all nature lovers! Board a speedboat and cross the Bay of Samaná and arrive at the National Park of Los Haitises. Discover a sanctuary of birds that reign over a multitude of small islands and mangroves. Explore caves covered with intricate stalagmites and stalactites as well as ancient paintings and sculptures that represent the gods of the Taino Indians native to this island.
Note: The boats are open-air. We suggest you bring a hat and sunscreen. The trip by speedboat is bumpy. We suggest you wear comfortable shoes; the ground in the caves is very uneven and slippery. This excursion is not recommended for passengers with back problems or pregnant women.

SAM09 - WHALE WATCHING

SAM15 - SIGHTS OF SAMANA

Explore Samana and enjoy narration from your guide about La Churcha. This church, of 1860, was brought from England and re-assembled piece by piece in Samana. Then at small Whale Museum you will discover a few of the mysteries of the humpback whales. You will then make your way to the quaint town of Las Terrenas. This popular destination is now home to a variety of well-appointed gift shops and delightful, European-influenced restaurants and café’s.
Note: We suggest you wear comfortable shoes. The transfer to Las Terrenas lasts approx. 1 hour. Some shops accept only the local currency, Pesos, but you will find Change Offices to change money.

SAM21 – SEA LION ENCOUNTER
Duration approx. 30 minutes
At Cayo Levantado island you will be guided to the Sea lion and you will meet your playful hosts and in their presence you will receive a briefing about their origins, lifestyles, eating habits and abilities about wonderful species. The briefing will end by each participant being able to feed the sea lions. Then you are off to the beach where you will have the chance to go swimming with the sea lion and they will show you their amazing swimming skills and you will be able to touch and care them. The swimming activity ends at the beach where each participant will receive a kiss from the sea lions. Afterwards you are off to spend the rest of the day at the beautiful island of Cayo Levantado
Note: Limited seats. Open water swimming is limited to good weather conditions and other variables. If it’s not possible to perform in the ocean the interaction will be limited to the Sea lion pool area.

After a short, scenic drive from the harbor the group will be welcomed at Lucky Stables, given the safety briefing, issued with the compulsory riding helmets and assigned to a horse comparable to each person’s comfort and level of experience. For the next hour and a quarter discover and enjoy the protected nature areas, and the flora and fauna while riding on the winding trails leading to a magnificent lookout point overlooking the ships in the harbor. The highlight of the tour is then riding the horses on the shores and in the water at Cay Bay Beach. Free time to relax and swim.
Note: Life vests will be issued for the beach riding portion of the tour and that you will definitely get wet so please dress appropriately. Children under 12 years are not permitted on this tour and there is also a weight limit of 250 lbs. All participants will be required to sign a release form. There are inherent risks involved in horseback riding and participants should be aware of this before deciding to participate. Bottled water is supplied to each guest and long pants with sensible shoes are recommended.

SMT04- PANORAMIC TOUR AND SHOPPING

Leaving the pier you will be whisked away into the serenity of this beautiful Caribbean island with so much European influence. Passing through the Dutch capitol of Philipsburg you will drive past the famous salt ponds, through the picturesque countryside for your first stop at Cole Bay hill offering a wonderful view of the marinas and the neighbouring islands.
You will continue through the typical Caribbean villages and before you know it you will have arrived in the French colonial capitol of Marigot and your guide will prepare you for a one and a half hour stop where you can browse and stroll amid the quaint boutiques and outdoor markets. Leaving Marigot the tour proceeds to Grand Case known as the “gourmet capitol” of the Caribbean and then you will drive by the ever-popular Orient Beach well known for its clothing optional policy in some areas. A short stop will be made at the Cole Bay lookout with a spectacular view of Simpson Bay. You continue driving through the St Maarteen countryside and townships before stopping at the Village Plantation. Here you will enjoy a coffee accompanied by a croissant.

SMT05- HARLEY DAVIDSON

It does not matter whether you’re a two-wheeled novice or a seasoned road veteran, we can offer you the ride of your life that will combine the pure American look that began when the original founders were cruising the streets of Milwaukee with the wild nature of this Caribbean island. After departing the harbor by bus you will enjoy the scenic drive through Phillipsburg the Dutch Capitol, over the Cole Bay Hill to the “Harley Davidson World” shop, where you will make the difficult selection between the legendary “Fat Boy” bike and the classic “Heritage”.

After brief formalities and helmets are issued you will follow your guide on a scenic tour past the Simpson Bay Marina, home to many luxurious mega yachts, through Maho and Mullet Bay and the lowlands famous for its appeal to many visiting celebrities.
After the convoy arrives in Marigot, the French capitol, you will have the opportunity to see and visit Ft. Louis, then enjoy a light lunch and a little time to browse the shops and markets before continuing the ride across the north coast of the island through the restaurant capitol, Grand Case and then time for a quick dip at a popular beach at Orient Bay well known for their clothing optional policy in some areas.

After this refreshing break the group will drive by Mount William Hill which offers a panoramic view of Phillipsburg, through the countryside and back to the kick-off point where the buses will be waiting to take you back to the ship.
Notes: A light lunch, two bottles of water and one soft drink are included on this tour. There will be a guide in front and an escort jeep in the back. Make sure to bring your credit card and current motorcycle license to complete the rental contract. The tour price is per bike and includes CDW insurance with a $1000.00 deductible. The deductible is fully or partially charged to the driver’s credit card in the event the motorcycle is returned damaged.

SMT06 – LAND AND SEA

Enjoy St Maarten from the deck of a luxurious catamaran and the seat of a Swiss Army Jeep. First step aboard the catamaran at the pier and sail along the coast of St. Maarten. See various points along the coastline as you head towards Simpson Bay with the sun on your face and the breeze in your hair. Arriving at Simpson Bay you will transfer to the ex-army, gaily colored, open-air jeeps that have been especially converted to operate sightseeing tours. Guests will be assigned to each vehicle and the driver / guide will point out places of interest, give a narration over the P.A. system and ensure that everyone has a good time.

Arriving in Marigot, the French Capital, you have a short stop to explore the open air markets and shops. The fun in the sun continues as the convoy breezes along the country roads through Grand Case, a popular fishing village, home to many fine restaurants and then to a local beach for time to bask in the sun or swim in the surf. The tour terminates at the Village Plantation where you can use the rest rooms and browse. When you are ready, just board one of the transfer buses that will take you back to the pier.

This is the only tour offering a great party cruise on the lagoon with open bar, great music as well as shopping time in Marigot. Also includes a scenic Grand island tour aboard air-conditioned luxury coaches with knowled-geable guides describing the history and sights of the two cultures of the island. This complete tour departs from the cruise ship pier where the guides will meet and escort you to the nearby coaches for the drive to Marigot via a view stop at Orient beach lookout. The St. Maarten “America’s Cup” 12 Metre Regatta offers your guests an opportunity of a lifetime to experience the sport of racing aboard multi-million dollar “America’s Cup” Race boats in the warm blue waters of the Caribbean, combining excitement, the thrill of competition, and a little touch of history. The St. Maarten “America’s Cup” 12 Metre Regatta has been voted “The Number One Shore Excursion” by one of the leading cruise lines for ten consecutive years, confirming the quality and value of this exciting activity. Prior to boarding the yachts, your guests are divided into teams, are given a brief introduction to the event and are then tendered out to the yachts.

Your guests will “compete” in an actual simulated race around an “America’s Cup” course (shortened), and under the watchful eyes of the experienced crew, are invited to participate in the thrill of sailing these fabulous “greyhounds of the sea”. Each guest is offered a small task and is given instruction by the crewmembers: what commands to expect, and what to do. Then it’s practice time on the way down to the start. The team’s timekeeper (another guest) counts down the minutes and seconds to the start. At the red flag from the committee boat, they’re off.

GUESTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Every effort is made to accommodate “Guests with special needs”. However the nature of the St. Maarten “America’s Cup” 12 Metre Regatta is very participatory and the motion of the boats may cause problems for some. We therefore request that a guest with special needs be accompanied by a companion who has the capability of assisting the guest onto and off the boats. If the companion feels at the point of departure that the experience will prove to be too much for the guest, we will be happy to offer a refund for both tickets returned.
AGE CONSIDERATIONS.
The minimum age is twelve years old: however, there are some young people, typically in a sailing family who have considerable sailing experience; are well aware of the potential hazards of sailing and have been trained to perform accordingly. In these cases, if the young person is accompanied by their parent, at the discretion of the shore excursion manager, we will be pleased to accept young people to a minimum age of seven.
FACILITIES
As these boats are pure race boats, they have no toilet facilities aboard. Guests should be made aware of this so that they can make prior arrangements.
WHAT TO BRING
All guests should be asked to wear soft-soled running shoes. T-shirts and shorts over a swimsuit are ideal. There is ample storage space below for beach bags, etc., and a small plastic bag to prevent a camera being splashed is a good idea.

SMT12- PANORAMIC TOUR OF ST MAARTEN AND BEACH
Duration about 4 hours, Price per person: Adult 39.00 Child $35.00As soon as you depart the harbor in the air conditioned buses you will start to enjoy the charm and scenery of this dual personality island which has been flying the flags of both Holland and France since 1648. You will drive from Phillipsburg, the Dutch capitol past the Great Salt Pond, through the countryside. The tour then continues past the Border Monument indicating arrival at the French side, into the district of Orleans, the former French Capitol then continues through several quaint towns and fishing villages, including Grand Case known for its lovely beaches and exquisite restaurants then across the north side of the island for a short stop at Marigot, the French capital, where you will observe a truly European atmosphere as you browse its waterside open-air markets, quaint shops, boutiques and sidewalk cafés.

After your brief sojourn in Marigot you will continue to a typical local beach where you will have approximately 1.5 hrs to enjoy the sun and surf or take a stress-busting walk along the beach.

On the return trip you will enjoy a truly spectacular view of Simpson Bay as you drive over the Cole Bay Hill and then enjoy a stop at The Village. Here you can use the restrooms and enjoy refreshment or browse around. Take one of the transfer buses back to the pier.
Note: The order of the tour may be reversed depending upon local traffic conditions. Wear your swimsuits under your clothes and bring a towel, sunscreen and sun glasses.
